It was a moment of sharing and creativity on Saturday November 30 at La Croisée des Arts, the charming boutique on rue du Pont, which celebrated its first year of existence. It’s already been a year since Julie Delene opened this unique space, which has become a real crossroads for local talents and Art lovers.
Since its opening, this boutique-gallery has welcomed numerous artists, offering a showcase for their creations, whether on exhibition or on consignment. To mark this great milestone, Julie Delene organized a special day, honoring a promising artist: Bénédicte Balestra, painter and designer.
The event was also an opportunity to preview his first book, an original work combining history and coloring, intended for children but which has also won over adults. Under the Cévennes sky tells the touching story full of discoveries of a young Parisian who, after moving to the Cévennes, learns to adapt to a new life surrounded by mountains and nature.
Printed in black and white, it invites readers to personalize the pages using coloring, a fun and artistic way to immerse yourself in the world created by the artist. “I am very happy to be able to share this project here, at La Croisée des Arts, which supports local artists so well”confided Bénédicte Balestra, during the presentation. Visitors, young and old, were able to interact with the artist.
Art, creativity and conviviality
Julie Delene expressed her gratitude to the artists and residents who contributed to the success of this first year of the store. “It is an immense joy to see this place become a meeting place, where art and creativity mingle with conviviality”she said.
Bénédicte Balestra’s book is now available at La Croisée des Arts. A great gift idea for the end of year celebrations or simply to awaken the artistic fiber of young and old. Come to rue du Pont to discover this book and, why not, the many other creations that populate this warm and inspiring space.
