Dayami Morales has just published an autobiographical story in which she discusses violence against women.

Adopted from , Dayami Morales chose this Monday, November 25, the international day for the elimination of violence against women, for the release of her book “Once upon a time”. In this autobiographical story, Dayami recounts her journey since the age of 15. Born in Havana, she was a professional model in Cuba at the age of 17 when she met a famous Belarusian rapper on the set of a music video.

She falls in love, gets married and leaves everything to follow the man of her dreams to kyiv, Ukraine. But quickly, the fairy tale turns into a nightmare. She finds herself confronted with betrayal, manipulation, psychological and physical violence, from the man in whom she saw a prince charming. Isolated from her family, in a country experiencing the beginnings of war, Dayami nevertheless finds in her self-esteem the necessary strength to free herself from this toxic union. Through a long process of introspection, she tries to understand how she was led to live this painful and traumatic experience.

“My inner struggle, my transformation, was not easy and writing was an awakening for me. I traveled a difficult path, full of tears, criticism and betrayals, but deep down darkness, I have always been guided by my dreams, my choices, my aspirations and my way of conceiving life. You have to believe very strongly in yourself, trust your intuition and not be afraid”, she testifies. .
