Nathalie Mahieu’s independent bookstore “Livres & Cie” in Caussade will host François-Henri Soulié and Joël Polomski on Saturday, November 30 for a meeting to sign the comic strip “La fortune des Sapiac” which tells the story of Montauban. After the success of the first opus “Montauban 1621” a rebellious city facing the king, released in 2021, the work relates the main historical events of Montauban, from its creation in 1144 until the siege of 1621. Generation after generation, the Sapiacs have endured tumultuous centuries. The program for the day will be as follows: at 5 p.m., mini-conference on the history of Montauban hosted by Emmanuel Moureau and François-Henri Soulié and at 5:45 p.m., discussion around comics and signing session with François-Henri Soulié. Henri Soulié and Joël Polomski. François-Henri Soulié, well known in Tarn-et-Garonne, is a man of the theater with multiple hats as a writer, actor, puppeteer, scenographer, director and screenwriter. Joël Polomski is a comic strip artist and illustrator. A teacher by training, he participated in an alternative school project, La Salamandre. In 1983, he published his first comic book album “Autres Contes”, a collection of three traditional tales.
