Each year, the pages of the Tourrettes Book Fair are turned one by one to make this event more and more attractive.
And this will be the case this Saturday with new features and surprises promised to the visitors expected in large numbers. Furthermore, this show will be a partner of the Telethon organized by the “Montauroux on l'M” association. With the big television marathon taking place this year on November 29 and 30, it was important for the municipality to support the fight of families and researchers against rare diseases. To this end, an AFM Téléthon ballot box will be placed at the entrance to the room so that everyone can participate, because it is the time to get into battle order for this great solidarity celebration.
Initially scheduled for September 8, the show was canceled due to bad weather. It will therefore take place in the Coulet room. “Success comes from curiosity, concentration, perseverance and self-criticism”said Albert Einstein. The organizers apparently followed the advice of the famous physicist because four years ago, the Tourrettan book fair was moribund. It took the will of Mayor Camille Bouge, his deputy for culture Bernard Montagne and a few volunteers for it to regain its former glory. And success is there today. The proof is that despite its postponement, this year, we had to refuse, with regret, the participation of many authors.
For all ages
There will still be more than fifty of them presenting their works. From local to fantastic, from comics to adventure… Everyone will find what they are looking for. The sponsor of this edition will be the musician, conductor, musicologist, lecturer and author André Peyrègne, director of the regional Conservatory of Nice since 1980 and president of the French Federation of Artistic Education, which brings together conservatories and schools of music, theater and dance from France. He will present and dedicate his works, including that on Little stories of great music published a few months ago.
Mayor Camille Bouge will inaugurate this show at 11:30 a.m., followed by an aperitif offered by the municipality to all visitors present. Catering is planned on site and above all, no worries about parking, since the Coulet school parking lot will be open and free.
