What’s better than words to exchange, transmit, share and communicate? Selection of gifts around words, by the agevillage editorial staff.
Chronos selection, to help young and old alike find words
Since 1996, the Chronos literary prize has rewarded each year a selection of works which focus on life journeys and the value of all ages, memories, relationships between generations, old age and death, family secrets as well as as the transmission of knowledge.
Books chosen by readers, from a very young age: the selection begins from kindergarten, up to adults.
A wealth of ideas for sensitive books to offer for all ages, to draw from the winners of previous years or the selection of the current year.
Among the works participating in the 2025 prize, favorite for What the silences sayby Laure Manel, for high school students/young adults; My crazy housesby Arthur Dreyfus and Raphaël Journals for 7-8 year olds; or even comics The aviary of memoriesby Valérie Weishar-Giuliani and Nina Jacqmin.

Prose, to rediscover the pleasure of words
Designed for seniors, isolated people or people with disabilities, Prose is an intuitive audio player that allows users to rediscover the pleasure of words.
Without a mobile application, without an internet connection (except for downloading books), without a screen, the reader operates using a simple remote control and provides access to more than 20,000 titles from the biggest publishers such as Editis, Hachette and the Madrigall group.
Currently in the process of crowdfunding on the French platform Ulule, the project benefits from the support of the National Book Center. Contributing to it allows you to obtain the reader and an audio book for 79.90 euros instead of 99.90 euros. You will then have to dig into the Prose catalog for other titles, whether novels, essays or podcasts.
The prices of audio books vary: count less than 5 euros for a classic work, around 20 euros for a more recent publication. Something to satisfy all tastes, for all budgets.
The campaign is now 75% funded. Delivery of the readers is scheduled for January.

My life in a book, to transform its memories into words
The Ma vie en livre company allows everyone to easily tell, engrave and transmit their memories.
The principle is simple: after a first meeting to define the outlines of the project (want to tell a moment, a slice of life or their entire life), an author contacts the person who wishes to share their memories. They will exchange once or several times, then the author writes the text. Once laid out, enhanced with photos, drawings, cooking recipes, testimonials from other people… according to everyone’s desires and requests.
Depending on the pack offered, the book thus produced will be delivered in pdf, or printed. The first gift vouchers start at 29 euros.
