Mr Rusigby brilliantly chronicles amateur rugby in a new book

Didier Cavarot alias Monsieur Rusigby became known almost 10 years ago for his columns on US Issoire and the world of amateur in general. Texts which have been very successful and which he has published in for several years. His latest work, Rugby is serious… but it doesn’t matter! is in continuity, with an ever more accurate pen.

Between some tasty rants (“you have to explain yourself several times so that you understand the first time”) Monsieur Rugby above all wants to tell a story of rugby far from that of “ and news“. Images that will immediately summon many memories to those who know the world of amateur sportand not just rugby.

The cold showers, the shorts that we forget but we are only allowed one short per year… This is my real rugby.” Books on rugby there are plenty of others. Especially on memories, legends and “it was better before“. Didier Cavarot wanted to go “a little lower“, pour “scratch where it smells like the truth“.

Rugby is serious… but it doesn’t matter! is published by Editions du Volcano (€16.50).
