Amiens: the children's literature fair fills the Canopé 80 workshop

It was difficult to make your way between the tables of exhibitors at the children's literature fair on the weekend of November 9 and 10, 2024 at the Canopé 80 workshop, as the number of visitors came. The events were sold out before opening and the queue in the corridor leading to the performance hall was packed with people. No matter, good humor solved all the problems.

“We usually play our show in front of around thirty people but we will adapt to accommodate triple that number,” two actors had fun in front of the crowd. The show is notable for the quality and diversity of the twelve authors welcomed but also for the layout of the space provided by the volunteers of the association MIEL (Médiation insertion education par le livre), organizer. Here a children's lounge, there adult armchairs allow visitors to take a breather between two meetings.

As for the authors, we are visibly happy to be present. Alexandre Chardin came from Alsace for the second year in a row. The literature professor has published a dozen works over the past 12 years. “The show provides the opportunity for great meetings with the children, their parents but also the teachers visited during the week during class interventions”.
