As is often the case upon returning from an international break, Amiens SC missed out on their match at Guingamp (3-0)this Friday on the occasion of the 14th day of Ligue 2. All this despite a second period played with numerical superiority.
Nightmare evening for Amiens SC
After Annecy, Metz and more recently Dunkirk, Amiens got its feet wet in Guingamp. Once again, the first minutes set the tone, with Picards absent. Having plenty of time to develop their game in the opposing half of the field, the Bretons offered themselves two trial gallops (4′, 8′) before opening the score shortly before the quarter of an hour of play. Not attacked , Sissoko delivered a good cross towards the near post, where Siwe was more lively than Fofana to open the scoring with an uncrossed header (1-0, 13').
Without reaction in the game, Amiens still paid for its defensive passivity on the second Breton goal. At the start of the action, Picard entered the area unopposed. Urhoghide tried to intervene but the Englishman only extended the ball into the feet of Hemia who made the opposite net tremble (2-0, 37′). And if Mafouta and Leautey tried their luck at the end of the first period (43', 45'+4), the best opportunity was to the credit of Naïr, very close to tripling the lead with a header (43').
While the match could have changed as soon as the locker room returned with the expulsion of Naïr (48′), the ASC did not even benefit from it. Leautey made Basilio shine with a dangerous cross-shot (52′), but it was once again Gurtner who found the ball in the back of his net. Checked the first time by Urhoghide, Picard then found Siwe within six meters, even quicker than Fofana, who tripled the lead with a subtle deflection (3-0, 64'). The indestructible Picard even came close to adding to the score in added time (90'+5).
Beaten for the sixth time this season, the fourth time with three goals conceded, Amiens is slowly and surely falling into line. The fault of a fourth consecutive match without success, after the draws against Paris and Martigues and the defeat at Dunkirk. Worrying.

The match film:
4′ Sissoko looks for Hemia behind Urhoghide’s back. The Breton attacker fails to take the shot from point blank range.
8′ Siwe misses his recovery at the conclusion of a fast ball recovery and a good two-handed game between Picard and Sagna on the left side.
13′ Sissoko overflows on his right side and delivers a cross to Siwe, who beats Fofana at the near post and deceives Gurtner with an uncrossed header (1-0).
23′ Vallier tries his luck at the edge of the area. Corchia deflects for a corner. Picard looks for Sidibé who fouls Kaïboue in the air.
35′ Kaiboue cuts Corchia's corner at the near post without succeeding in finding the target.
37′ Hemia takes advantage of a missed intervention from Urhgohide to double the lead with a shot which ends in Gurtner's small net. Powerless. (2-0)
43′ Gurtner is very happy to support Naïr's header above his crossbar.
44′ Mafouta strikes with first intention without finding the target.
45'+4 Basilio very easily catches Leautey's crushed shot.
48′ Very lax in the first period, Mr. Taleb does not hesitate to bring out the red for a foul by Nair on Kaiboue.
52′ Basilio pushes away Leautey's cross with a cuff.
53′ Urhoghide pushes back a good shot from Picard in front of Gurtner.
59′ At the entrance to the surface, Gene sends his shot into the clouds.
64′ Picard catches Urhogide before finding Siwe within six meters who extends the ball into the back of the net (3-0).
83′ Dao rushes towards goal but hits well above.
87′ Maronnier turns on himself and tries his luck with first intention. Just short of the post.
90'+5 Picard's shot is repelled off the outside of Gurtner's post.
