the essential
Thrillers, novels, historical novels, biographies, comics, children's literature await readers in the J. Brel room on Sunday November 17.

Agnès du Lac, delegated advisor for culture, has been working for more than a year on the creation of the book fair. She brought together elected officials and cultural actors around her: the library and the “Montasdelivres” team, the MJC, the heritage association and numerous volunteers. The event, which will begin at 10 a.m. in the Jacques Brel room with the inaugural speech by Mayor Jean-Baptiste Capel, will then welcome visitors for meetings and signings until 6 p.m.

Many activities

At the same time, an impressive catalog of activities awaits the public at the old college and in the MJC premises: round tables led by Myriam Beauchamp, reading corner and workshops for young audiences, reading aloud sessions for children . Of note for adults, a musical reading with Catherine Vaniscotte who will read extracts from the works of the authors present at the show (former college at 3:30 p.m.). Another highlight, the intervention of Aboubakar Kaba, young migrant, poet and author of the collection “Mi-Grand”, who will testify about his long exile between Africa and his arrival in (former college at 11:30 a.m.) . Finally, a curiosity: exhibited for the first time, a book dating from the 17th century discovered in the old presbytery and restored at the initiative of the heritage association.

The sponsor of this edition will be the writer Benoît Séverac, author of dark novels, who also writes for adolescents. His latest opuses have been critically acclaimed (Télérama, Le Monde des livres, Le Figaro littéraire…) and earned him the opportunity to be invited by François Busnel to the show “La Grande Librairie”. He is in the running for the Incorruptibles prize, awarded by young readers. Present with him at the show: Christophe Agnus, Mouloud Akkouche, Maxime Badoc, Grégoire Canonne, Alice Dekker, Pascal Dssaisnt, Marie-Cécile Foures, Yves Gabay, Didier Goupil, Alain Monnier, Aboubacar Kaba, Audrey Marty, Gérard Muller, Karine Satragno Sayagh, François-Henry Soulié, Patrice Teisseire Dufour, Henri Terres. Children's authors: Joris Chamblain, Amandine Couderc, Astrid Dumontet, Karine Guiton, Dominique Montalieu, Laurence Tran, Juliette Vallery.
