Young people looking for old vinyls
“I offer classics of rock, metal, French pop… People are coming back to old records today,” he says, leaning on his records. The merchant started from an observation: young people are in demand for musical discoveries.
I have Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie… Classics!”
“The young customers I speak with are looking for old vinyls. They find it more authentic than the records in department stores. And the sound is not the same. In second-hand vinyls, there is a certain warmth that you hear when listening,” explains Patrick.
Johnny Hallyday, his favorite artist
In gray weather, there are not many customers. “But I leave it to the young people, they want to know a little more about the music of the 70s. Before I had a record player to let them listen to, it brought people in, but now we have to pay SACEM” , jokes Patrick.
Among the artists he highlights, Johnny Hallyday. “Colleagues at the market call me Johnny, it’s written on my cap! »
With the end of year holidays coming, Johnny knows that customers will want to keep their money. However, we will still be able to find him at his stand, next to the carousel.
