The video game epic in comics
Having become a true social phenomenon and a flourishing industry, video games have experienced many vicissitudes since their infancy and the birth of Pong in 1972. This large fresco is brought to us by the video game specialist Jean Zeid and the designer Émilie Rouge, in the form of a consistent comic strip listing the major stages marking out this recent, but abundant, history. A light and amusing narration does not prevent us from getting to the bottom of things and really informs us on the subject by presenting the various pioneers of programming, the life and death of the big companies and consoles and, of course, the big titles and heroes who forged memories. Very informative while being entertaining, both for those immersed up to their necks in pixels and for those uninitiated in video games, this comic strip proves to be a well-crafted and popularized encyclopedic concentrate.
