Laurena Salion

The young woman will dedicate “The Convent of the Visitation, the three renaissances”, resulting from a collaboration of around ten authors on an emblematic place in Le Mans with multiple lives.

A flagship book on the history of our territory, “The Convent of the Visitation, the three renaissances”, highlights a little-known and yet essential site in the city center of Le Mans. On the Place de la République, in the heart of the city, the site has always been surrounded by an aura of mystery since the construction of the first monastery of the Visitation, in the 17th century.e century. Its history is that of places of seclusion, austere, secret, closed in on themselves, convent then prison, until its recent restoration and the creation of businesses, luxury hotel and art gallery, making the site one of the places the most ambitious and “trendy” of the Cenomaniac City. The book reveals its secrets to us and tells us about its metamorphoses in an exciting way.

Denys Ezquerra

A native of the South-West, Denys had a brilliant career as a literature teacher in Le Mans. Passionate about his adopted territory, he celebrated its riches in several works previously published by Libra Diffusio editions, based in Le Mans and which specialize in the adaptation of large print books, as well as the publishing of books on the regional heritage of Maine. It is within the framework of this heritage production that Denis Ezquerra will come and dedicate the numerous works he has created for them.
