Once again, this Sunday October 6the book will be celebrated in Esternay and more precisely at the Maison du Temps Libre (MTL), Place des Droits de l’Homme, for the 13the book fair edition.

More than 40 auteurs coming from the entire region and neighboring departments will be welcomed in attendance. The opportunity for visitors to meet and interact with the guests of honor, such as the poet Olga Charlotte Auberor again, the author Edith Piotrowski.

Local and regional actors

Novel, thriller, poetry, local history, youth….Different literary styles will be represented at this show. Local authors and regional associations will also be there. L’association Cases will present its actions done or to be done in Senegal. Yann Lovato will intervene in the nursery and primary classes of the Esternay school during the two days preceding the book festival. He will present his job as an illustrator to children. Jean-Claude Gibert will lead workshops on Sunday afternoon on stage at the Maison du Temps Libre.

A planned conference

Ahead of this book festival, a conference is planned Saturday October 5 at 8:30 p.m the La Gare media libraryPlace François Mitterrand. The conference will be moderated by Jean-Marc Agnielthe son of Georges Agniel, the co-inventor of the cave. He is member of the Découverte Lascaux associationcreated to organize the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the cave, on September 12, 1990. This is now developing a program entitled “Lascaux Culture” which explores all the historical, scientific and social facets of the cave. Since its creation, the association has also provided services for the most varied audiences to relate the context of the discovery and present the context of the cave, in the form of a conference in images.
