On Thursday, September 12, Pascal Obispo announced the release of his new album called The Archipelago of Sequels. An opus for which the artist collaborated with a certain Carla Bruni on the title “Son âme d’enfant”. Guests on the show Media culturebroadcast on Europe 1 this Friday, September 13, the two artists looked back on their first collaboration as well as their shared love for the capes. Indeed, the first likes to enjoy the gentle Mediterranean lifestyle by taking up her summer quarters in her home at Cap Nègre, on the Var coast, while the second flourishes on the Arcachon basin side, at Cap Ferret. A heavenly place that has nevertheless changed its face, as Isabelle Funaro’s former husband regretted to our colleagues.

Having frequented the famous cape since the 1970s, which has also charmed other celebrities, such as Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet, Pascal Obispo lamented the current overcrowding of the place, somewhat distorting its wild beauty.Don’t come to Cap Ferret anymore, that would be good because it has become something else, it’s a bit complicated…” thus underlined the interpreter of “Fallen for her” to the microphone of the journalist Thomas Isle. And to continue his criticism: “It’s a beautiful place, but it’s hell, I don’t leave my house anymore.”

Pascal Obispo and Cap Ferret, a great love story

Pascal Obispo fell under the spell of Cap Ferret during his youth, during a summer camp.I have spent every summer here since 1970. This is where I learned to swim and did my first radio talent shows, at Club Mickey…”, he confided to the JDD in 2017. Seeing that his love did not fade over the years, he decided to buy a former holiday center on site to make it his vacation home and install a studio there. With the sea spray, the air of pines and mimosas, it’s good here. I like working here more and more. I composed a large part of my latest project there“, he stressed to our colleagues.
