Many bestselling Books have been the inspiration for new TV series this year, as well as blockbuster films like the conclusion of Wicked Jon M. Chu et al Regretting You based on the work of Colleen Hoover. Other novel adaptations, including several Emily Henry romantic comedies and a few other Colleen Hoover bestsellers, are also in the works.
The year 2025 will see the arrival of new summer series on Prime Video, including a highly anticipated new season, season 3 of The Summer I Turned Prettywhich will offer a greater number of episodes, and a newcomer, We Were Liarsbased on the book by E. Lockhart. Continuing with the theme of the beach and the ocean, season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will also take viewers back to the world of the Greek gods at some point this year.

We Were Liars de E. Lockhart
The television treatment of the book We Were Liars by E. Lockhart by Prime Video is finished. The author hinted on Instagram that the show would come to the streamer in 2025.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Saison 2 (The Sea of Monsters)
Season 2 of the fiction series anchored in Greek mythology Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be based on the events found in the second book of the original quintet: The Sea of Monsters. Season 2 will arrive on Disney+ in 2025. New cast additions that were made ahead of the continuation of Percy, Grover and Annabeth's story include Daniel Diemer as Percy's half-brother, Tyson, a Cyclops, Tamara Smart as Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, Andra Day as Annabeth's mother, the goddess Athena, and Courtney B. Vance as the god of the skies and thunder, Zeus. Vance will reprise the role of the late Lance Reddick who died shortly after the release of the first season.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Saison 3 (We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han)
The third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty from Prime Video is scheduled for summer 2025 with a bonus number of episodes to conclude the adaptation of Jenny Han's beloved book trilogy. The third installment of the YA coming-of-age series, based in We’ll Always Have Summerwill unfold over an impressive 11 episodes, one of which will be directed by Han. Season 1 had seven episodes, all of which aired at the same time on the streamer, and season 2 had eight, which aired week after week after the first three aired on premiere day.

The Buccaneers de Edith Wharton
Season 2 of the Apple TV+ drama series, The Buccaneersis currently in production, and Leighton Meester has joined the cast. Based on the book by Edith Wharton, which was published with several versions ending differently, the show's first season followed a group of five girls led by Nan (Kristine Frøseth) who travel to England from their American homes during the golden age, illustrating the clash of cultures between the two countries.
My Life With the Walter Boys by Ali Novak
After a popular first season on Netflix adapted from the novel by Ali Novak which gained popularity on Wattpad, My Life With the Walter Boys is in full production on a second season, although the first season covered all the material from the book. Novak is writing another Walter Boys novel, but the show's second season will not tie into that book.

James Clavell's 1975 book served as the basis for Shōgun from FX, starring Anna Sawai, Cosmo Jarvis, Tadanobu Asano and more.
Mary & George – Starz
Starz's period series starring Nicholas Galitzine, Julianne Moore and Tony Curran is based on the 2017 book The King’s Assassin: The Fatal Affair of George Villiers and James I by journalist Benjamin Woolley.
Apples Never Fall – Peacock
Apples Never Fall is the latest Liane Moriarty book to receive a television adaptation treatment after Nine Perfect Strangers on Hulu and Big Little Lies on Max. Melanie Marnich served as showrunner behind the limited series, which starred Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Alison Brie, Jake Lacy, Conor Merrigan Turner, Essie Randles, Georgia Flood and more.
Manhunt – Apple TV+
Apple TV+ limited series starring Tobias Menzies, Anthony Boyle, Will Harrison, Lovie Simone, Patton Oswalt and more is based on the story book Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer by James Swanson.
Palm Royale – Apple TV+
