During a conference on March 11, Karoline Leavitt repeated that the customs prices set up by Donald Trump were in fact “tax reductions for the American people”.
The problem is that economists agree that it is the opposite that will occur: it is American consumers who will pay more for products targeted by customs tariffs.
When the journalist of the Associated Press (AP) Josh Boak wanted to rectify the shooting by mentioning that the prices “are not imposed on foreign companies, but on importers”, the exchange has turned to the confrontation.

On March 26, the CNN correspondent at the White House, Kaitlan Collins, asked a question about the management of the scandal which broke out after a journalist was added by mistake to a confidential discussion on a military offensive against the Houthi rebels of Yemen.
“Does the president have the feeling of having been misleading by his national security advisers, whatever they were, who told him that there was no classified information in these messages, now that he saw them?”, She asked Mr.me Leavitt.
The 27 -year -old press secretary seemed irritated by the question that another journalist had asked the day before.
-“The president has the same feeling as yesterday,” she replied.
She then prevented the journalist from asking her follow -up question, as the procedure wants.
“Kaitlan, I will not take your following question,” she said twice.
Irritated that a journalist disputes the legality of a Trump measurement
At the start of the mandate, Donald Trump said he considered to cancel some of the pardons granted by Joe Biden before his departure. The Republican President accused his predecessor of having used an automatic signature tool to ratify them.

Kaitlin Collins opposed the conspiracy theory defended by Ms. Leavitt, asking her if she had proofs of what she was advancing.
