“I had made the request last year but there was already the cyclo-cross so the municipality had asked me to shift. I repositioned myself this year and I was the only city to applythen, it is with us, ”smiles Xavier Valverde, president of the VSF Volley-Ball.

220 teams at the pre -of the castle stadium

Even if the club will have to coach to welcome the 220 teams, or 850 played playerson the lawn of the pre -of the castle stadium.

We manage the whole organization, the whole implementation and logistics. There are more than sixty plots to be traced! And we will also take care of the catering and refreshment part, reception and coordination with the League, and the Committee, of which I am vice-president, which facilitates things ”

A festive moment and visibility

Without counting the search for partners, upstream, to “offer beautiful prizes to the winners”, informs the president, who will mobilize around thirty volunteers the day before the event, and sixty, D -Day.

Promote volleyball with young people

In any case, the Fertois players, aged 7 to 17 will be there, on June 8 and outdoors for the competition.

But Festy Volley, “It’s a unique opportunity to promote volleyball with young people and to transmit fundamental values ​​such as respect, fair play and team spirit. The event offers meetings and workshops adapted to all levels of practice, in order to allow beginners, as well as experienced players, to progress and have fun. In addition, this event offers non-licenses the opportunity to learn about the practice, ”says the Pays de la Loire League.

And above all, a unifying event and accessible to everyone to celebrate the end of the season, free of charge for clubs, which benefit from free transport by coach, set up by the league. “It is a budget of 40,000 euros for the League, including 18,000 euros for transport,” says Xavier Valverde.
