A Hungarian on the run after the murder of her ex-girlfriend in Austria: she asked for protection but did not get any

According to some sources, she has met her former companion, Krisztián Papp, 32, who was to return the keys to her apartment. During the meeting, an argument broke out. The tragedy took place before the eyes of a friend of Jennifer, who had accompanied her for her safety and had attended the murder from the rear view mirror. The authorities have since launched a large research operation involving all the patrol units, the Austrian elite force Cobra and the rapid intervention teams. A European arrest warrant was issued against PAPP.

The woman had already asked for protection, but had not received it

New elements have emerged, suggesting that the murder could have been avoided. The prosecution confirmed that Jennifer had already filed a complaint against PAPP for threats and material damage. However, no restrictive ordinance has been issued, the suspect having no judicial history. Police spokesperson Hans Wolfgruber explained that it limited their legal appeals.

The two men would have met years earlier when they worked in the same hotel in Unken, a city located just 30 minutes from the crime location. Originally from Veszprem, in Hungary, Papp was known to those around him for his aggressive and unpredictable behavior. He was also a fervent supporter of the local handball team.

Blikk reported that PAPP had tried to commit suicide a few months earlier, after a break. His mother would have contacted friends, desperate to find him after the incident.

While tributes in the form of candles and flowers continue to multiply in Maria Alm, the family and friends of Jennifer are in mourning, while the authorities rush to find their murderer.
