Born November 29, 1971 in Chaumont (Haute-Marne), Valérie Debord graduated from a DEA in comparative European law obtained at the Faculty of Law of Nancy. Currently vice-president of the Grand Est region, she pilots regional employment policies, training, orientation, learning and higher .

Her political journey began in 2001 in 2001 in Nancy, where she was assistant to the mayor in charge of the elderly and people with disabilities until 2008. Elected deputy of Meurthe-et-Moselle from 2007 to 2012, she continued her local commitment to the Metropolis of Grand Nancy from 2014 to 2020, as vice-president delegated to housing, housing, energy and sustainable development.

She joined the Grand Est region in 2016 as a vice-president of higher education, before taking over the regional majority in 2017, then expanding her employment and training portfolio.

On the professional side, Valérie Debord began in 1995 as director of Uraped Burgundy, working for the insertion of deaf and hard of hearing. It then held various positions of project manager, in particular at the Lorraine Regional Council and with the Higher Notariat Council. She also went through the CGPME of Meurthe-et-Moselle as secretary .

Since March 2025, she has held the function of director general of the National Operator for the Sale of Housing Action.
