Tyrese Haliburton Makes Personal Announcement During NBA Playoffs


Tyrese Haliburton and the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers began their second-round NBA playoff series against the No. 1 seed Cleveland Cavaliers with Game 1 on evening.

Haliburton and the Pacers reached this point in the postseason after a notching a 4-1 series win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the No. 5 seed Milwaukee Bucks in Round 1. The two-time All-Star point guard averaged 17.6 points and 11.6 assists per game in the series — including a series-sealing game in Game 5.

Before Game 1 of the Pacers’ second-round series against the Cavaliers, Haliburton shared a personal announcement on social media.

The 25-year-old point guard is launching a YouTube channel. His video is a series recap of the Pacers’ first-round win over the Bucks.

“New YouTube. Subscribe to the kid,” Haliburton wrote on his Instagram story.

Haliburton already has 1.24 thousand subscribers on the video-sharing application. His first video has 7.73 thousand views and 138 comments so far.

Haliburton was recently voted the league’s most overrated , in a poll conducted by The . Since then, he’s put together some impressive playoff performances en route to the Pacers’ second-round series against Cleveland.

“He’s a talented player. Since the All-Star break, he’s been averaging like 20 [points] and 12 [assists],” Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell said. “… We don’t look at it that way. He’s a threat, and we’ve got to make sure we try to find ways to neutralize one of the biggest threats on their team.”

Haliburton and the Pacers lead the Cavaliers 64-58 at the halftime break in Game 1. The Indianapolis point guard recorded nine points and six assists in the first two quarters at Rocket Arena.
