The country has recorded an impressive score of 88/100 for the opening of data, which places it at the top of the African continent. This ranking, established by Open Data Watch, measures the accessibility, transparency and opening of public data in nearly 200 countries around the world.
This performance stems in a context of strong improvement in Senegal in the field of open data.
By combining the opening and coverage scores of statistical data, Senegal has made a spectacular leap in the world ranking, going from the 100th to 33rd place at the global level, with a score of 75/100. This impressive gain of 67 places in just two years demonstrates the commitment of the country to make its public data more accessible and transparent.
ODIN is an international assessment which measures the quality of the opening of public data, taking into account several criteria, including data availability, updating, their online accessibility and their reuse by citizens and institutions.
