The big hike organized this Sunday by the Dakar Regional League held all its promises. Its president, Omar Niasse, welcomed the two main challenges: a successful organization and a strong mobilization, bringing together participants of all social strata. After four years at the head of the League, the question is now arising: will it seek a second term?
The first edition of Dakar which will be labeled is one of the 30 activities of a roadmap carried out. Traveling 7 km through the arteries of the capital, the hike has seen the participation of several personalities, including Ms. Niang, the regional sports service and representative of the Minister Ms. Khady Diene, as well as Mame Saliou Sall, President of the Hiking Federation, without forgetting the partners engaged in the event.
On the choice of theme, “Hiking, factor of cohesion and social well-being”Mr. Niasse explains: ” All professional and social categories are there, there are marabouts from the officers of the army of magistrates, the partners, a real symbiosis with the FDS who have contributed a lot to the success of this event ”.
After 7 km of walking the president of the Dakar Regional League continues to ” Advising hikers to walk and always walk is the first medication because walking is a health factor. ”
For respect for the guidelines of the supervision, we have just completed an Olympic mandate, with 150 organized hikes which will be mentioned in the balance sheet. Now if the world of hiking judges me to renew me, I am ready ”
