Yesterday, young people from Cabrousse demonstrated against the prohibition of Undo Mayo’s party. But, with the dialogue initiated by the organizers and the state officials, the party is saved under certain conditions. In a note, the prefect of the area gives details on the holding of the ceremony. According to the prefect Aliou Wade who officially raised the ban on the 2025 edition of the UNDO Mayo cultural event, initially suspended by decree n ° 0100/ACAB/SP of April 29, 2025. The event may therefore stand as planned, but subject to compliance with strict conditions dictated by security imperatives.
In the prefectural decree, it is mentioned that the beach will remain prohibited from the public beyond 7 p.m. throughout the duration of the event. Concerts must imperatively end at the latest at 1 a.m. Restrictions which aim to guarantee the safety of participants and to prevent any overflow.
The authorities specify that any breach of these provisions will result in sanctions, in accordance with the legislation in force. The implementation of these measures is entrusted to the commander of the Cap Skirring gendarmerie brigade, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the event.
The organizers have been notified of the decree and the populations are invited to scrupulously respect these instructions so that Undo Mayo 2025 takes place in a festive, but framed spirit, informs the sun.
