The Council of Ministers, gathered this Wednesday, ratified Three major decree projects Within the framework of the refoundation of governance mechanisms for economic development in Senegal. These texts redefine the powers of several strategic institutions, starting with That responsible for monitoring, piloting and evaluation of the national transformation plan “Senegal 2050”.
Among the flagship decisions is the adoption of the decree defining the responsibilities of Minister Ahmadou Al Aminou Lorecently appointed Minister to the President of the Republicin charge of the agenda “Senegal 2050”. This decree now specifies the contours of its new mission, focused on the strategic management of long -term reforms.
Direct consequence of this reallocation, Mr. LO leaves his duties as secretary general of the governmentnow occupied by Boubacar Camaralawyer, state inspector general, ex-director general of customs, and candidate for the last presidential election.
The government also has modified the organization of the operational office for coordination and monitoring of projects and programsfor the sake of alignment with new national priorities.
Finally, a third decree was adopted to Create a fund dedicated to the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of projects, programs and reforms resulting from the agenda “Senegal 2050”.
These institutional reforms reflect a clear will to strengthen the efficiency of public policies And to better support the economic and social transformation of the country.
