A historic tournament for the EFSCV rugby school with 1,700 children and 146 teams on six sites.
Bringing together a record number of players, parents and volunteer educators in a single day on three villages is a performance that only a very organized structure such as the EFSCV rugby school can achieve, thanks to its solid organizational experience.
The figures are impressive with 1,700 children from 24 rugby schools in the region, and elsewhere. A total of 146 teams, nearly 100 traced land, 8 different categories (from U6 to U14), 6 sites spread over Coursan, Fleury, Armissan and Vinassan, with two important points in Coursan and Fleury, each with two sites. A hundred volunteers from the educators of the EFSCV rugby school, teams from the parents’ agreement and some former rugby players, a deluge of matches played, two prize discounts and finally several thousand people in total. The XXL tournament was perfectly orchestrated.
On the results side, the 4 -cloche challenge, rewarding the best rugby school on the tournament, returned to the ABB (Capestang Puisserguier). The Challenge of the offensive Robert Bru was awarded to the EFSCV, that of Fair-Play for those under 8, Olivier Rey, in Salagout. The Challenge Sébastien Chabardes returned to the GOB, that of Patrick Grasseau for the confirmed M12 in Béziers, the ALBIN Gras Challenge for the resourceful M12 was allocated to the ABB; That of the confirmed U10s, the Arnaud Cavaillés challenge, returned to US Carcassonne. The Paul Castel Challenge of the Confirmed U8 went to the RELM (Castelnaudary) and finally, the Jérôme Labadit Challenge for the resourceful U8s returned to Rec. Bravo to all the participants and especially to all the volunteers present during the day before and after this XXL tournament.
