“So much destruction”. Joe Biden led Tuesday to an attack in good standing of his successor Donald Trump in his first public speech since he left the White House on January 20.

“See what has happened: it is not yet 100 days and this new administration has done so much damage and so many destruction,” denounced the ex-president, who was expressed in Chicago (North) at a conference dedicated to “Social Security”, the American pension system. “All this happened so quickly, it’s breathtaking,” he added, in a speech of almost half an hour dotted with point of humor.
Joe Biden, 82, accused the Trump administration of attacking Social Security, a federal agency in particular responsible for distributing public pensions or disability pensions to 68 million beneficiaries.
“They attack social security with ax, dismissing 7,000 civil servants, including the most experienced. They are preparing to push thousands of others to the door, ”denounced the former head of state.
Save social security
“Why do they want to rob her?” It is to offer huge tax cuts to the billionaires, “insisted the former Democratic president, accused of having been slow to give way last year to his vice-president Kamala Harris in the White House race, thus giving an advantage to his republican opponent.
“Social security deserves to be protected for the good of the whole nation,” he said. “These are not just retirement pensions. It is a question of honoring a fundamental bond of confidence between the State and the people ”.
In February, the Trump administration temporarily appointed an “antifraude expert” at the head of Social Security. Elon Musk, charged by Donald Trump with a diet for the federal state, says that many frauds undermine the operation of Social Security, including several million beneficiaries aged over a hundred years, without advancing detailed and public data.
