Les Boucles de l’Alne in Chateaulin in Finistère marked the start of the great Breton cycling sequence of this weekend May 8.

This edition marked a turning point: for the first time, the race included the French FDJ Cup at the opening of a long 100 % Breton cycling weekend. This change of calendar attracted weight teams: Movistar and Bahrain Victorious appeared, and Valentin Madouas, Olympic vice-champion, was at the start. The Ménez Quelc’h, climbed four times, made the race explosive.
On the program: 183 km, a nod to tradition with its circuits, but some new features, including a muscular passage around Saint-Ségal.
