A Belgian demands the automatic vagueness of animals killed on social networks. His petition has already collected 22,000 signatures.

Today, we say: enough,” it is mentioned in the preamble to the petition.

“Publishing the photo of a living being killed as if it were a prowess glorifies an act of destruction, death sends a dangerous message: that suffering and death can be a source of pride and prestige”, it is also specified in the text which, on May 8, collected 22,000 signatures.
“That hunters hang boar heads in their living room, that belongs to them, that they broadcast these images to everyone, it’s scandalous,” argues Didier Wirickx with our colleagues.

Through the petition, addressed to Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook boss), Elon Musk (owner of X) and Larry Page (co-founder of Google), the automatic vagueness of dead animals in hunting contexts is notably requested; But also the implementation of a warning message for users, leaving them or not to display the image.
