Sunday, May 4, the open or blue book fair, the second edition of the Molières book and arts fair, satisfied all the hopes of the organizers. Despite threats from uncertain weather, the authors welcomed a large audience looking for books from all styles. The visitors were received by the sculptures of Jean-Louis Cailhau and the drawings of Manga d’Azilis Yelles. Then they entered the Occitan language, poetry, novels of all genres, the photographs of Joël-Pierre, the travel diaries of Elizabeth Penou … We cannot cite all the exhibitors. No less than 28 authors and 5 artists lived with their imagination, for a day, the beautiful pyramid room prepared by the group of volunteers of the friends of the Molières media library.
The reception of the municipality was made by the assistant Rémi-Constant Belrepeyre and by his colleague Gisèle Lecornué, assistant and president of the friends of the media library.
The entertainment, calligraphy and dictation delighted visitors. Three lots rewarded the best spelling, the latter having been awarded a leek. A joke that delighted the public, seeing this unhappy winner proudly sporting this incongruous vegetable at the end of the afternoon.
The association warmly thanks the supports of the merchants of the village, the community of Quercy Caussadais communes and the municipality of Molières.
