The City of Montreal will carry out its annual alert sirens test on Friday morning to educate the population in the event of an incident involving the relaxation of toxic products.
These annual simulation tests are necessary, according to the City of Montreal, in order to raise awareness that lives near these establishments.
The exercise also validates the proper functioning of the equipment and the preparation state of all stakeholders in an emergency.
Friday, between 8:30 am and noon, the nine participating factories will in turn issues and according to a predefined schedule an amount and descendant of three minutes. These alarm sirens will be heard on the potential radius of exposure.
