How far will Luc volleyball players progress? This season, the players trained by Pierre Pfefferlé, also president of the club, have achieved their goal of joining the LNB. A completely crazy goal, if we refer to the history of this young training which, in 2016, simply did not exist!
After twenty-nine years without female team, The Luke revived in 2017-2018 in this adventure, starting from all at the bottom, in 4e league. Despite two white years, due to the covid, the Lausannoises climbed the steps one by one to the National League.
The alchemy between young players and more experienced elements made the happiness of the Luke, which is found in LNB.

“The season started for us on August 18 and it finished on April 20, calculates Pierre Pfefferlé. During this period, we experienced 147 training and matches sessions! ” Or more than one day in two activity.

Keys should not fear the luc
Next season will therefore be contested at the upper level, still with Pierre Pfefferlé with the baguette. Coming from alpine skiing, the coach believes that volleyball is technically not as complete as skiing. “On the other hand, there is all the human, tactical, mental aspect, which is quite extraordinary in this sport. And then that is really a passion, ”he says.

From now on, the LUC is the only club in Switzerland to have a Ligue A team and two Ligue B teams. But to delight in the first half of the classification of 2e Division, the feminine Luc will have to strengthen. Contacts are underway. “The project is to fill the missing link between LNA and 1re league, so that players too strong for the 1reLeague, but not experienced enough for the elite, can have experience with us, explains the president of the Luke. If we manage to collaborate with Cheseaux, or with another training, we can set up a constructive pyramid so that these young women can progress in an adequate environment. ”
