The M18 Sétois compete in the final stages of the French Cup in Marseille, from May 9 to 11.

The M18s of the Arago de Sète achieved a remarkable course in the Coupe de France, chaining eight laps without conceding the slightest defeat. A flawless one that propelled them to the final stages, these May 9, 10 and 11 in Marseille.
A united group and already experienced
A great continuity in training for the Sétois club. “A large part of the workforce was already present in M18 last season and had participated in the final stages”says coach Clément Sabouraud. “This experience has enabled them to progress, especially in the management of the various qualification towers. Two of our players also evolved with the young French teams, they were also crowned European U18 champions in 2024, which brings a precious knowledge of the high level. Our young people have been playing together for several seasons, this has necessarily contributed to building a real group, united and animated by a common objective. »»

Not always easy to work, with Théo Martzluff which evolves at the National Volleyball Center (CNVB), part of the workforce training with the club training center and another within the amateur sector (prenational and regional). But automatisms and complicity are still there, reinforced by joint sessions organized for almost a month. And allow you to feed real ambitions for this end of the season. “Last year, we already visited the final stages, and the objective had been reached with a good third place”continues the Sétois coach. “This year, we naturally want to go further. The ambition is clearly to reach the final and, why not, to win the title. »»
Twelve teams are in the race, divided into four pools. This Friday, the Arago will face the volleyball Bron Lyon light at 1:30 p.m., then Narbonne at 4:45 p.m. in the event of qualification, the quarters and semi-finals will take place this Saturday. In the meantime, it must be hoped for, a final with Sétois accents this Sunday at 2 p.m. Sunday.
