During the Council of Ministers this , May 7, 2025, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko detailed the measures envisaged by the government to the effective implementation of the National Social Stability Pact, signed on May 1 with the social partners.

This pact aims for inclusive and sustainable growth. He recalled the importance of rigorous monitoring of its implementation, with specific actions, such as the rapid development of texts relating to the organization of the bodies responsible for its execution and the submission to the Council of Ministers of Reform Projects in the educational sector.

The Prime Minister also underlined the urgency of the digitalization of administrative procedures, with a finalization objective in 2025. This includes reforms in the management of civil servants and an accelerated legal revision process in the health sector.

By approaching the second point of his , Ousmane Sonko insisted on government priority to the establishment of a approach to national civic service and volunteer, which aims to respond to the challenges of Senegalese youth. A structured will be set up to promote the involvement of people in missions of interest and guide them to a successful socio-professional integration.

The Prime Minister announced that this program would be strengthened during the next school holidays, with an upcoming launch of the “Sétal Sunu Rèew Ak Koom” program. This revised program aims to maximize the economic and social impact while promoting the active and sustainable citizen participation of young people in the development of the country.
