The ASBL Les Mbwetete (which means in : the ) brought, Monday, May 5, drugs to lepers interned at the Rive in Kinshasa.

These pharmaceutical will allow beneficiaries to treat their wounds and prevent infections.

The visit of these “ambassadors for good manners” began with an Eucharistic celebration chaired by Father Éric Bwanga, priest of the archdiocese of Kinshasa and chaplain within this establishment welcoming the lepers.

A gesture of solidarity and memory

Father Éric Bwanga welcomed this initiative of the ASBL Les Mbwetete in favor of people with leprosy:

“This gesture of charity is a way of paying tribute to the late Bishop-Marie Munu which, during his lifetime, has always been alongside the poorest and the poor. »»

The doctor of the bank hospital, Dr. Papy Mambo, also praised this action, stressing that she meets urgent needs in this medical establishment which not only welcomes leper but also outpatient patients.

The products, he assured, will be used effectively for the benefit of patients who, immediately after distribution, each received a package of care for their regular treatment.

A continuous commitment to the most vulnerable

For his part, the coordinator of the ASBL Les Mbwetete, Ghislaine Kumanisa, reminded the assistance of the unwavering commitment of the association in favor of the most deprived, in accordance with the vision advocated by its founder, Mgr Édouard-Marie Munu Kasiala.
