The Beerschot is already assured of its relegation, only one year after its rise in Jupiler Pro League. The “rats” lived a catastrophic season.
It is not in coach Dirk Kuyt that the fault can be directly charged. The Dutchman had however allowed the club to find the D1A, but this season, many problems outside the field have disrupted the proper functioning of it. According to Kuyt, these circumstances no longer allow him to continue under these conditions:
“Do I would like to stay in Belgium? Yes, I like it and I have a beautiful house in Antwerp. Will it be in Beerschot? The chances are weak if the situation remains unchanged,” he told the Gazet van Antwerpen.
-So everything suggests that Dirk Kuyt will leave the Beerschot. The Antwerp club will therefore have to be looking for a new coach and the discussions would even be underway.
After Fanaticthe Beerschot would have started negotiations with Tolunay Kafkasfree since June 2024. The Turkish coach has already managed several clubs in his country as well as the National U21 team.
The 57 -year -old coach, who passed through the Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, will have to guide the Beerschot to a new ascent in the Jupiler Pro League so as not to get stuck at the lower level. There remains a match to play at Beerschot this season, against the circle of Bruges.
