“Of course I spoke. We were together, in Parliament, at the Senate’s parliamentary group. He also had a meeting with the international press at 19:00. I also participated, after which he gave many interviews to your colleagues from the international press. You can ask them, check”, Petrișor Peiu told Digi24.
However, he could not deny the information that appeared in the media space that Simion was seen on Monday morning at Otopeni Airport, while preparing to leave the country.
„I don’t know where it is now, I think it’s at home, as far as I know. We talked to the phone with the messages we have to give, but last night, at 1:30 we broke up from the Senate Parliamentary Group. That’s what I can tell you. (…) Now, do I do to do his program? I do not know ”added Peiu.
Simion won the first round of the presidential elections with 40.96% of the votes. It was absent from the time of the announcement of the first Exit-Poll results, unlike the other candidates, although it was first. He transmitted on Facebook that he will not be influenced by the first digits.
His statements came about 20 minutes after the announcement of the first results, live from the office, and not from the stage arranged in the yard, where representatives from the ECR Party went up.
