Mr. Surprising reproaches the CAQ for having excluded it in 2017 on the basis of false information, then for having done nothing later to try to repair the damage caused to his reputation.
“The CAQ could have helped me. The fact that she did not support me was […] Accentuated doubt, “he explained on 98.5 FM waves in Montreal on Monday morning.
“They refused to listen to me. If they had listened to me, things could have been different. There were lots of opportunities when we could have re -grooved and the opportunities were not seized. »»
“I was like toxic all this time,” he said.
-Claude Surprinant was accused by a former political attaché which he had dismissed of having paged in the budget of his district office. It was excluded from the Caucus de la Caq, then severely blamed by the Commissioner for Ethics and Ethics of the National Assembly in 2017.
In 2022, the administrative court of labor rather believed the version of Mr. Surprising and found that it was Julie Nadeau who had diverted money to her personal account.
Mme Nadeau was sentenced to suspended prison for fraud and perjury after an investigation by the permanent anti -corruption unit (UPAC).
These new elements led to the cancellation of the reprimand addressed to Claude surprising by the National Assembly last year.
On Monday, the CAQ director general, Brigitte Legault, confirmed to the Canadian press that he had received the request from Mr. Surprising.
“We are to consult our lawyers. We will not comment at the moment, “she said in a message sent to the news agency.
