May May 04 be with you. Wait, what? Inevitably, in French, it sounds less well than in English. “May the fourth (the 04th) be with you”it is a play on words to bring closer to the cult phrase of films Star Wars, “May the Force be with you” (May the force be with you).
And on Sunday 04 May 2025, many fans of George Lucas’ films showed their passion. In Troyes (Aube), the laser-game complex The district hosted throughout the Saga fans (weekends). On the program: quizs, launch of axes, laser -game challenges (this is the place for), cosplay (costume in your hero – or bad – favorite). There were even exposures of derivative products, and a tattoos workshop.

Other downtown businesses have also played the game. On Sunday, Troyes was a city of the Empire (the political ensemble in which the characters of Star Wars).
The week before, cinemas of Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes), Châlons-en-Champagne (Marne), and Reims (Marne) rebroadcast the third episode of the saga, released in 2005. Already 20 years …
It was precisely in Reims that Star Wars bubbles were born. An association of fans, initially a simple and informal group of people passionate about the saga. A Facebook page was created in 2018, then a good and due association followed.

The president, Yann Delcomombel, explains to France 3 Champagne-Ardenne that the mention of the bubbles makes it possible to make a sparkling wink originally from the association. People from all backgrounds, of all ages, built a large united group there.
“Me, I’m going on my 35th birthday, and it’s been almost 30 years since I’m a fan of Star Wars. When I was little, my aunt had recorded one of the movies on television. I thought it was super class as a universe. We can project ourselves: there are kinds, bad guys … Some planets remind places on earth. ” Tatooine? An evocation of the Berber villages of Tunisia.

“Wire by needle, I got into LEGO Star Wars. Then new films were released. And the new series … “ It is an adventure that never stops. “The universe is very complete, there are also books. Everyone can find their way around.”
And the association exceeds its Remoisest seat. “We organize events every year.” The highlight is the game in Reims. But also gatherings Star Wars Everywhere in France. The association has also moved to animate the replay of films at the Cinés de Charleville and Châlons.

Funds are raised, for charity. In 2025, they will go to the association of the Reims cat school. “We are also friends with the Laser Saber Academy in Reims.” Because Star Wars is also sport. “I told you that it federates a lot of people.” This structure trains hard (but in good humor) and participates in championships.
