This Sunday morning, shortly before 9:30 a.m., an accident involving two cars occurred on the departmental road 622, in the town of badin, in Haute-Garonne. The firefighters of the departmental fire and rescue service were quickly dispatched to the scene.
The intervention required the mobilization of sixteen firefighters, with a substantial device: a fire machine, a road rescue vehicle, three ambulances and a command level. One of the victims, in absolute emergency, had to be extracted from his vehicle by help.
To allow the landing of the Samu helicopter, the road was entirely cut to traffic. A deviation is currently set up by the gendarmerie, also present on the premises to secure the area and coordinate road regulation operations. The seriously injured person was finally transported by the ambulance of the firefighters with a member of the SAMU at the hospital. The light injured man was taken on site and the third person was left on site after care.
The exact circumstances of the accident remain to be determined. An investigation is underway.
