A Quebec company acquired a sector of 1.2 million square feet in Laval in order to establish a industrial district from 2026.

Along the highway 13 between rue Notre-Dame and boulevard Saint-, this huge area was acquired by Rosefellow for the sum of $ 75,000,000, confirmed to the Journal Mike Jager, co-president and manager of the company. This includes the western portion of the Mega Center Notre-Dame shopping center.

“Thanks to the visibility of the highway, access to the site are direct. We had in mind the retention of staff and there are already restaurants, grocery and several services at the shopping center which is just south of our land, ”explains Mr. Jager.

In all, Rosefellow plans to invest $ 200,000,000 in this project, which will aim at least a LEED Silver certification. The company does not know at the moment what type of businesses will there, but has confirmed that it does not intend to include a residential .

“We are very confident that it will be renting quickly,” says Mr. Jager. The vacuum clearance rate for warehouses at least 40 feet high is less than 2%. ”
