A new rant of professionals who work with justice. This time it is the convenience stores who plan to carry out actions to denounce the slowness of justice to pay its bills.
A series of Flemish convenience stores plan to block the roads to denounce tens of thousands of euros in unpaid invoices. 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, sometimes much more.
The problem is similar in Wallonia, where as everywhere, convenience stores are called to enter cars of arrested people without a license, without insurance, vehicles at the illegal sales center. These are dozens of cars that mold in the parking lots. In La Bouverie (Frameries), David Grouselle explains to us that justice owes him 50,000 euros: “The vehicle that has been there for the longest time is a judiciary, it is a Mercedes who is there below the carport. She has been there since 2018. In fact, he is a person who apparently got caught on the purchase of the car in Germany and it is blocked. It is still not judged I think“.
In addition to the consequences of the judicial backwards, David Grouselle denounces the fact that the prosecution sometimes takes years to mark its agreement on certain expenses, even, is the wrong interlocutor, with a direct consequence: “I send by email, and they send us the approvals by mail. But, at the wrong address, with another convenience store! Suddenly, I am out of time and not paid“.
An invoice of 2020
Meanwhile, cars rot in the parking lot of the convenience store, which has to pay insurance accordingly, its staff, its taxes. Walloon convenience stores are waiting for a spark to envisage (like the Flemings elsewhere) to block the roads in protest.
