An essential cause: finance research and help with patients

On Reunion Island, a hundred people live with ALS (Charcot’s disease).
The purchase of specialized equipment (eye tablets, wheelchairs, assistance robots …) represents a very high cost, rarely supported. All donations will be fully donated to the Arsla association in order to finance research as well as the creation of a park of equipment adapted to Reunion for patients.

Animations to raise awareness and share

In parallel with sporting events, awareness stands were installed all morning to raise public awareness of Charcot’s disease and advances in research and also to accompany people affected by the disease who will have been able to move.

After the , a sharing picnic was organized, offering a friendly moment to the participants, and also allowing patients to fight against isolation because since the death of the former territorial referent, Thierry Joseph, no demonstration has seen the day.

Servair, our partner gave a meal basket to each volunteer.

An extraordinary atmosphere

Beyond the sports events, the participants and the spectators were able to benefit from a great atmosphere. The morning started with a muscle awakening to music animated by Shafik Essack, enough to break the ice!

Several people with Charcot disease have passed the to with an of honor, enough to arouse emotion to everyone.

We were delighted to welcome the mayor, Ericka Bareigts her team, who made a poignant speech, recalling how essential it is to remain united, united, and to continue this kind of actions.

An excellent moment of sharing, which we would be delighted to organize again next year!
