It was a little more than 5.30 p.m. Wednesday April 16when the scene occurred at the Verdanson quay, in Montpellier. A 45 -year -old motorist, carrying a handicap, sought to park in a place dedicated to people with reduced mobility. While the driver maneuver his vehicle, a man approaches the window. He knocks on the door. It is a homeless one that sews nearby, with a red light. He asks for money. The driver signals to him that he cannot help him and that he only wants to park. The homeless does not appreciate this refusal.
-Without warning, he drums again against the door, opens it, then breaks the driver two punches. He then tries to seize the keys to the vehicle. Perhaps this sidewalk was appropriated.
The victim files a complaint
Municipal police officers, present not far from there, are alerted. They intervene quickly and challenge the individual. The 41 -year -old man is of Polish nationality. During the control, he presents an advanced state of drunkenness. It blows at 1.46 mg/l of expired air, or about three grams of alcohol per liter of blood. Placed in police custody, he claims to remember anything. He nevertheless recognizes the facts and apologizes. The assaulted man filed a complaint. The respondent will have to answer for his actions in court. He will be summoned by judicial police officer (COPJ) September 10.
