On April 10, the Showroom of the Ebasters and Creators hosted the award ceremony for the Regional Art of France competition. For this second edition, the competition distinguished two artists in heritage and creation categories. In the heritage category, Camille Chateauminois was rewarded for sowing flame, a reconstruction of a fragment of a coat of the Order of the Holy Spirit (18th century). Made of gold embroidery on silk velvet, the 20 x 20 cm piece mobilizes precise historical techniques: Guipure de Lames, Filé, gold, Milanese cord, and relief in waxed linen wire. This was carried out as part of an order from the Augustinian Museum in , with an objective of faithful restitution, based on the observation of old documents and the consultation of historical sources. Trained in the scenography and the costume, Camille Chateauminois continues today an activity between textile transmission, catering and creation. In the creation category, the jury distinguished Tambourine from Iemanjá from the ceramist Ekaterina Terpigoreva. The work evokes a ritual instrument linked to the figure of the goddess of waters in Afro-Brazilian and Cuban traditions. Hand -modeled porcelain pearls are assembled on metal canvas, forming a dense, vegetable and textured surface. The frame of the tambourine, composed of fabrics folded and tight by steel pins, completes a symbolic and sensory set. Of Russian origin and installed in Occitania, Ekaterina Terpigoreva has been developing work around cultural memory and gesture for several years, regularly exposed internationally. The showroom regularly hosts events and exhibitions highlighting artists and craftsmen.
