The Rabbi Delphine Horvilleur published Thursday May 8 a text-manifesto in the quarterly review Tianouaof which she is the director of the editorial staff, to say her “Absolute refusal of the annihilation of a people” [en référence à Gaza] to achieve “The dream of survival” another people [Israël]. In a text entitled “Gaza/: (really) your neighbor, no longer be silent”, Delphine Horvilleur comes out of silence: “I killed myself but today it seems urgent to speak out”.

She assures that “It is precisely for the love of Israel” that she decides to speak today, driven by the pain of seeing this country to which it is very attached, to get lost in a “Political rout and moral bankruptcy” and pushed by “The tragedy endured by the Gazaouis”. Delphine Horvilleur calls for “A burst of conscience” and assures it: “There is no pain and there are no deaths by signing innocent or condemning .”

A text praised on Instagram by the designer Joann Sfar: “Thanks to Delphine Horvilleur for having the courage to speak”. The designer adds: “Many of us have to speak against the forward flight to which we are witnessing […] Our representatives should no longer remain silent “.

Anne Sinclair also spoke on Thursday on Instagram: “We are murdered, torn apart by the action that the Israeli government in Gaza is carrying out.” The journalist says that “Hamas’ terrorist action is no longer to be demonstrated as its absolute responsibility in the October 7 massacre […] But the form of the actions carried out by the Israeli army in Gaza at the request of the Government of Netanyahu is indefensible “. Anne Sinclair – who today calls for ceasefire and the lifting of the humanitarian blockade established by Israel in Gaza – adds: “We were killed, because anti -Semitism that is gaining ground […] We forced us to block “then further: “The Jews suffered too much so as not to bear that we do harm in their name”.
