In the aftermath of the announcement of the resignation of the Geneva State Councilor Antonio Hodgers, the national councilor Nicolas Walder is a for the candidacy at the Vert-Es. MP UDC Lionel Dugerdil also started.

“I want to become a state councilor. I said it to Antonio Hodgers already at the end of his second term, when he hesitated to represent himself,” said Nicolas Walder in an interview published on the site of the Genève Tribune. He also expressed himself on the Blue Lake Plateau.
