Global exchange rate EUR/USD today 10/05/2025
The EUR/USD pair rebounded at 1.1269, after reaching a three -week low around 1,1200 earlier in the day. This recovery has occurred while the US dollar (USD) temporarily weakened due to a prudent feeling before trade negotiations between the United States and China scheduled for Saturday.

The Euro (EUR) also experienced a day of positive negotiation, outperforming many other currencies, despite the “softening” declarations of the officials of the European Central Bank (ECB). They believe that the inflation of the euro zone is down and could soon reach the target of 2 % of the ECB.
The governor of the Bank of Finland, Olli Rehn, said that if current trends in low inflation and economic growth were confirmed in June forecasts, the ECB could reduce its interest rates to achieve its price for price stability.
Normally, declarations like these would exert downward pressure on the euro, but during this session, the euro maintained its dynamic upwards.
Meanwhile, investors are still waiting for a response from the United States after the European Commission has published a public consultation document, offering measures to meet the American prices.
The EU said that if commercial negotiations do not produce positive results, the block could impose customs duties on American goods of a value of up to 95 billion euros, a figure close to the 100 billion euros previously mentioned by Bloomberg.
Gediminas Šimkus, a member of the BCE Council of Governors, also stressed that the inflation prospects for the euro zone could now be strongly influenced by the way the EU reacts to American trade policies.
