LCF: Zach Collaros suspended a match for having failed to respond to CCES agents

The LCF has suspended a quarter of the Blue Bombers of Winnipeg, Zach Collaros, for a since it omitted to respond to a request for an anti - test during the dead season.

The announced on that the leaders of the Canadian Center for Ethics in (CCES) had twice attempted to get in touch with Collaros on the phone and by email for a period of two . The organization added that Collaros, which is 36, has not responded within 24 hours, which usually leads to a suspension of two games.

The league mentioned after an analysis of the incident that the suspension had been shortened in a single match, citing “attenuating circumstances”.

The LCF also indicated that Collaros has never tested positive for a prohibited substance under the joint anti -doping policy of the League and the Association of Players (AJLCF).

The LCF and the AJLCF also agreed to improve the protocols to get in touch with players for anti -doping during the dead season.

Under the anti -doping policy, suspended players cannot participate in regular seasonal or qualifying matches. Bombers will be able to determine whether or not Collaros will have the freedom to participate in team activities, such as training camp, preparatory matches, training and team meetings.

The Blue Bombers will undertake their home season against the Lions of British Columbia on June 12.
