The acting Syrian president Ahmed al-Charaa is carrying out this Wednesday in Paris, at the invitation of Emmanuel Macron, his first trip to Europe. By announcing its arrival in Paris on Tuesday, the Élysée pointed out that Emmanuel Macron “Redranged France’s support for the construction of a new Syria, a free, stable, sovereign Syria, respectful of all the components of society”. The Head of State will recall “Its requirements vis-à-vis the Syrian government, at the forefront of which the stabilization of the region and in particular Lebanon, as well as the fight against terrorism”added the Élysée.
