Freebox: WiFi 7 and repaired downloads with the May 2025 update

In the shade, Free continues to update its routers, alias the Freebox Server. In this month of May 2025, version 4.9.3 has just been deployed, providing with it several useful fixes for a more stable user experience.

Relayed by Freebox universethe new version 4.9.3 of Freebox Revolution, Pop, Delta and Ultra has been available since Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

Inside, there is first of all a buckt correction affecting WiFi 7, which did not reactor properly when leaving the standby mode. Enough to find a stable wireless connection, without having to restart your internet box to correct the problem.

Good news for those who download a lot of files, the Freebox Download Manager has been repaired. It could indeed become unstable in the event of intensive use.

The May 2025 update also corrects instabilities of the FTP service (used to transfer files between devices), causing random dysfunctions. Free also took the opportunity to set up errors of removing virtual machines on the Freebox Delta and Ultra.

This discreet update (version 4.9.3) thus improves the stability and performance of several key services. To benefit from it on the Freebox Server of Revolution, Delta, Pop and Ultra models, a simple restart is enough.

This can be done from the Freebox OS interface, the Freebox Connect application or the Freebox screen.
